As a social psychologist by training, Karolina has always been intrigued by the interplay between the macro system (e.g., political structures, countries, schools, organisations) and people. 

How do these structures influence people's behaviour? Do these structures serve all individuals fairly and equally? How do these structures influence how we see other people? 

Karolina has applied these interest to the study of a range of phenomena including police legitimacy, prejudice and discrimination, voting behaviour, social media behaviour, protest behaviour, and educational inequalities.
